In summer 1999, a team of seven researchers from the Cultural and Visual Anthropology Department of Miskolc University embarked on a complex four-year culture research project in the small mountain village of Regéc. During the excavation of the castle, the usually insular, slightly suspicious locals started telling the stories of their grandparents and great grandparents. This film undertook to record in moving pictures the sayings connected to the castle and the fairy-tale-like stories that occupy such an important place in the cultural memory of the people of Regéc.
